Fiio PL50 Linear Power Supply

The Fiio PL50 is a low noise regulated linear power supply that swaps the switching adapter on your desktop audio gear for clean, stable, transformer fed DC. Less ripple and less noise on the power line means a quieter background and better dynamics from whatever it feeds.

Type and Technology

The PL50 is built around a custom 50VA audiophile grade toroidal transformer wound with high purity oxygen free copper on a Nippon steel core. A Shindengen bridge rectifier, TI voltage regulators and filtering from Nippon Chemi-Con and Rubycon capacitors handle the conversion chain, with an EMI filter on the AC side to reject interference from other devices sharing the circuit. Output is switchable between 12V at up to 3A and 15V at up to 2A, and multi stage filtering keeps the delivered voltage smooth and consistent.

Build and Features

A compact desktop chassis with front power switching and clearly marked voltage selection, designed to sit alongside Fiio's desktop components. Input voltage supports both 100 to 120V and 200 to 240V regions.
