Kiwi Ears Quartet

Sale price$109.00

The Kiwi Ears Quartet is the bass specialist of the lineup, built around an isobaric double subwoofer. Two dynamic drivers per side move in tandem for low end that digs deep, two balanced armatures keep the top half honest, and tuning switches let you pick between four sound profiles.

Type and Technology

The isobaric subwoofer stacks two 10mm titanium diaphragm dynamic drivers, each with dual magnetic circuits, passively phase aligned so their output sums without cancellation. A passive low pass filter rolls them off at 350Hz, handing over to a custom mid high balanced armature and a vented ultra high tweeter armature. Two switches on each shell select between four tuning profiles.

Sound Character

Expect thunderous, textured sub-bass with emphasis kept below 350Hz, deliberately flat mids from 350Hz to 1kHz to avoid bloat, and crisp, sparkling highs that stay non fatiguing. It is studio monitor neutrality sitting on top of a proper subwoofer.

Build and Comfort

One piece medical grade resin shells in a black and purple swirl keep weight low for all day wear. The silver plated copper cable detaches at 0.78mm 2-pin connectors and terminates in 3.5mm. At 32 ohms and 110dB sensitivity it reaches volume easily from any source.

Best For

Drummers, bass players, and bassheads who need to feel the low end on stage or in the mix. For a multi driver reference tuning see the Kiwi Ears Quintet, or browse the IEM collection and Kiwi Ears range.
