The Kiwi Ears Punch is the brand's flagship tribrid, co tuned with reviewer HBB of Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews. One dynamic driver, two Knowles armatures, and two Sonion electrostatic tweeters chase a simple brief: the deepest bass Kiwi Ears has ever tuned, without wrecking the mids.

Type and Technology

A 10mm composite diaphragm dynamic driver anchors the low end, two open vented Knowles RAB 32257 balanced armatures carry the midrange, and a pair of Sonion electrostatic tweeters extends the treble far beyond the audible band. A three way crossover feeds three dedicated sound tubes, one per driver type, keeping the ranges distinct until they meet at the nozzle.

Sound Character

HBB's brief shows in a towering 15dB sub-bass emphasis with a precise cutoff that leaves the midrange neutral and articulate. The electrostatic top end is airy and natural rather than sharp, following a monitor like contour. It is a basshead tuning executed with flagship discipline.

Build and Comfort

Resin shells with 0.78mm 2-pin sockets pair with a braided single crystal copper cable in 20 AWG, terminated in your choice of 3.5mm or 4.4mm at purchase. At 12 ohms and 98dB sensitivity, the Punch rewards a source with some power behind it.

Best For

Bass lovers, drummers, and bass players on stage who need physical low end with honest mids. Compare the Kiwi Ears Septet for a more neutral quadbrid take, or browse our IEM collection and Kiwi Ears range.
