Kiwi Ears Cadenza II

Sale price$49.99

Color: Blue

The Kiwi Ears Cadenza II succeeds one of the most recommended budget in-ear monitors of recent years. It moves to a titanium coated dynamic driver and the second generation of Kiwi Ears' acoustic resonance tuning, aiming for reference tonality at a starter price.

Type and Technology

A single 10mm dynamic driver with a titanium coated PET diaphragm sits behind KARS 2.0, the Kiwi Acoustic Resonance System. This labyrinth of internal tubing manipulates airflow to shape an accurate 8dB sub-bass boost that cuts off cleanly at 200Hz, with a gentle lift around 300 to 400Hz for body.

Sound Character

Kiwi Ears calls the goal ultimate tonal balance: subwoofer like but tidy sub-bass, a slightly warm midrange that flatters vocals, and treble that peaks precisely at 3kHz before decaying smoothly. It is a fatigue free, full bodied tuning that stays close to neutral.

Build and Comfort

The lightweight polycarbonate shells wear a CNC machined aerospace grade aluminum faceplate with a laser engraved honeycomb pattern. A single crystal oxygen free copper cable connects over standard 0.78mm 2-pin plugs and terminates in 3.5mm. At 18 ohms and 106dB sensitivity it is trivially easy to drive.
