Campfire Audio Astrolith

Astrolith is a dual-planar in-ear monitor built around a 14.2mm planar magnetic driver for low and mid frequencies and a 6mm micro-planar driver for highs, integrated with Campfire Audio's Particle Phase Resonator (PPR) tuning element inside the AAOI shell platform. Hand-built in Portland, Oregon.

AAOI (Additive Acoustic Optical Inclusion) acoustic chambers. Custom Matrix MMCX connector. Two included Time Stream Metal Series cables (silver-plated copper, ribbon geometry) in 3.5mm single-ended and 4.4mm balanced.

Sound Character

A full planar presentation: fast transients, tight bass with real weight, and extended high frequencies smoothed by the PPR element. Detail retrieval is exceptional, with a coherent stage that scales well from intimate vocal recordings to complex orchestral material. Tuning stays neutral enough for studio reference work while remaining listenable across long sessions.

Build and Comfort

Internally dyed black, optically clear AAOI acrylic shell with a CNC stainless steel terraced faceplate hand-polished to a mirror finish. Stainless steel nozzle. Custom Matrix MMCX captures.

Best For

Audiophiles and engineers who want a high-resolution planar reference IEM without the upper-mid edge that defines many planar designs. Pairs well with high-output players and with the Relay DAC/AMP.
