Voxativ Pi Bass

The Voxativ Pi Bass is an active dipole woofer system built to extend Voxativ's high-efficiency widebander speakers down to a true 20 Hz. It pairs the Ripol® open-baffle bass principle with Voxativ's Acoustic Stealth Technology® for bass that keeps up with full-range drivers instead of smearing behind them.

Type and Technology

Two Voxativ AC-PB drivers with very low moving mass and strong neodymium motors deliver 99 dB combined efficiency in a completely open Ripol® enclosure that moves almost zero net air volume. A built-in 250 W Class A/B plate amplifier powers the system, with full level, crossover frequency, and phase adjustments on board. It accepts line-level (preamp out) or high-level speaker connections, so it integrates with virtually any system.

Sound Character

This is the opposite of subwoofer bloat: fast, tight, articulate low end with the transient coherence of an electrostat. Because the dipole design barely pressurizes the room, bass stays textured and tuneful down to 20 Hz — it matches the speed of Voxativ widebanders rather than lagging behind them.

Build and Connectivity

The compact 15" x 18" x 12" cabinet weighs a substantial 85 lbs and comes in piano black or piano white lacquer. All controls sit on the rear plate amp for straightforward dial-in. Each Pi Bass is sold as a single unit — order two for a stereo pair, which Voxativ recommends for bass extension duty.
