STAX SRM-500T

The STAX SRM-500T is STAX's mid-tier hybrid electrostatic driver, the successor to the SRM-006tS, pairing a custom-made low-noise dual FET driver stage with 6FQ7/6CG7 vacuum tube output for a presentation that blends solid-state precision in the input stage with the tonal character of a tube output at an accessible price.

Sound Character

The 6FQ7/6CG7 output tube brings a subtle warmth and spatial ease to the FET's low-noise foundation, a combination that gives the SRM-500T a more engaging and tonally dimensional presentation than the fully solid-state SRM-400S, without the full commitment of a tube-input design like the T8000. Well suited to the Lambda series from the L500 to the L700 MK2.

Build and Finish

Same compact chassis as the SRM-400S at 195 x 102 x 376mm and 3.4kg. Clean and functional front panel with volume control, input selector, and power switch.
