The STAX SR-X1 is STAX's new entry-level Lambda earspeaker -- a genuinely accessible entry point to the electrostatic headphone experience at $535, delivering the characteristic resolution, speed, and spatial accuracy of the electrostatic format in STAX's classic Lambda form factor. Compatible with all STAX Pro-Bias (580V) energizers and amplifiers. Made in Japan.

Compatible with the full range of STAX and third-party Pro-Bias energizers and dedicated electrostatic amplifiers. The SR-X1 is the entry point to STAX's current Lambda range, designed to bring the electrostatic format to the widest possible audience without compromising on the fundamental character of the STAX sound. Made in Japan.

Build and Comfort

A lightweight Lambda-style build at approximately 234 g (earspeaker only). STAX uses a metal frame structure to suppress unwanted resonance and updates the rigidity of the arc assembly, while integrating the arc and head pad for even weight distribution and reduced listening fatigue over long sessions. The ear pads use soft sheepskin with a new memory-foam interior to improve fit and seal. A fixed 2.5 m parallel six-core, wide low-capacitance cable with OFC conductors terminates in the standard STAX 5-pin Pro-Bias plug.
