STAX SR-009S

STAX's legendary SR-009 series enters its next evolution with the SR-009S, featuring the company's second-generation MLER (Multi-Layer Electrode) fixed electrode technology for improved clarity, reduced resonance, and a more refined presentation than the original SR-009.

Over-ear, open-back, electrostatic. MLER 2 (Multi-Layer-Electrode Generation 2) fixed electrode. Pro bias (5-pin) connection, requires a compatible electrostatic energizer. Cannot be driven from a standard headphone output.

Recommended Energizers

The SR-009S performs best with high-output energizers. STAX's own SRM-T8000 (hybrid tube/solid-state flagship) and SRM-700S (all-stage FET reference) are the definitive pairings. The SRM-700T offers a warmer, more tonal alternative. All are available from Mimic Audio.
