The SR-009D brings STAX's MLER electrode technology to a new mid-tier position in the lineup, delivering ultra-low resonance and pristine transparent sound at a price that sits between the SR-L700 MK2 and SR-009S.

Over-ear, open-back, electrostatic. MLER (Multi-Layer-Electrode) fixed electrode technology for ultra-low resonance and high acoustic uniformity. Pro bias (5-pin) connection. Requires a compatible electrostatic energizer.

Clear, spacious, and highly detailed. The SR-009D delivers STAX's characteristic electrostatic transparency and effortlessness with the improved technical performance of MLER electrode engineering. A refined mid-to-upper tier electrostatic that rewards pairing with a quality energizer.

Build and Comfort

A newly developed injection-molded unit case keeps overall weight down for comfortable extended listening. The headband uses an aluminum arc assembly with a ten-step click adjustment and a soft, padded suspension strap, and the earcups rotate on both axes to conform to different head shapes. The earpads have a buttery-soft sheep-leather contact surface with artificial leather on the outer portions. In line with the current STAX lineup, the SR-009D adopts a detachable, replaceable six-strand low-capacitance cable, easing maintenance and future upgrades.
