Rockna Audio Wavedream Reference Signature

The Rockna Wavedream Reference Signature is a statement DAC and network audio renderer, a component that discards off-the-shelf parts entirely in favor of fully proprietary hardware and software, built around four discrete R-2R FPGA-driven DAC modules, an ASRC-free clock architecture, and a Class-A JFET analog output stage. Reference DAC and network audio renderer. Four RD-0 MK2 discrete R-2R DAC modules, each managed by its own 28-bit FPGA per bit-switch, no chip DAC anywhere in the signal path. Proprietary Digital-PLL ASRC-free clock architecture with mirrored clock distribution for jitter elimination and a lifelike musical pace. Class-A discrete analog output stage using JFET and bipolar devices for maximum transparency and organic tonality. Ultra-low-noise power supply with over 90,000 µF capacitance, multiple regulation stages, and copper-shielded toroid transformers. FPGA upsamples internally to 16x and converts at 768kHz/705.6kHz using a Parks-McClellan upsampling filter with selectable linear, minimum, or hybrid phase filter types. LAN, USB, I2S, S/PDIF, AES/EBU, and Toslink digital inputs. RCA and balanced XLR outputs. Network streaming: Roon Bridge, UPnP, OpenHome, AirPlay, HQPlayer NAA, Spotify Connect. PCM up to 768kHz; DSD up to DSD512. Front-panel touchscreen, metal IR remote, and iOS/Android control apps. OTA firmware updates.
