Kiwi Ears Allegro Pro

The Kiwi Ears Allegro Pro is the upgraded version of the popular Allegro dongle DAC, adding dual ES9603 amplifiers and a 4.4mm balanced output. With three preset sound modes, RGB indicator lighting, and one click Nintendo Switch compatibility, it is a small device with a lot of range.

Type and Technology

The Allegro Pro is a USB-C dongle DAC and amplifier. Dual ES9603 operational amplifiers provide the drive power for higher impedance headphones, delivering 68mW into 32 ohms from the 3.5mm single ended jack and 170mW into 32 ohms from the 4.4mm balanced output. Decoding covers PCM up to 32bit/384kHz plus DSD64 and DSD128, and three sound modes tailor the presentation for Game, Movie, and Music playback, each marked by its own RGB indicator color.

With a signal to noise ratio of 113dB or better and THD+N under 0.006%, the Allegro Pro stays clean, precise, and distortion free. Highs are crystal clear, bass is deep and controlled, and the balanced output widens the stage with stronger channel separation.
