iFi Studio ZEN CAN Studio

Sale price$249.00

The ZEN CAN Studio is the amplifier half of iFi Studio's monitoring pair, built for musicians who rely on headphones to mix, monitor, or master rather than a pair of speakers in a treated room. Its Class A balanced circuitry trickles down directly from iFi's flagship Studio iCAN, scaled into a compact enclosure that fits on a crowded desk or a stage rig. On its own it's a serious step up from a laptop's headphone jack, and paired with the ZEN One Studio it becomes a complete interface and monitor controller.

Type & Technology

  • Professional headphone amplifier, built for mixing, monitoring, and mastering rather than casual listening
  • Class A, balanced, FET-based circuitry adapted from the flagship iFi Studio iCAN
  • Four steps of gain in +6dB increments, scaling from sensitive IEMs to hard-to-drive planar headphones
  • Mono switch (L, R, or L and R) for checking mix compatibility and catching panning errors

Sound Character

  • Voiced to be a clean, accurate monitoring tool rather than a warm or colored listening amp
  • Ultralow distortion at 0.0001%, so it stays out of the way of whatever the mix actually sounds like
  • Up to 1890mW through the 4.4mm balanced output or 1000mW through 1/4-inch, enough headroom for demanding studio headphones

Build & Design

  • Compact enough for a crowded studio desk or a stage monitoring rig, not just a home listening room
  • Balanced XLR and unbalanced inputs, accepting a feed from the ZEN One Studio or any other line-level source
  • MCU and LED sleep mode to keep noise down when the amp is idle between takes

Best For

Musicians and engineers who mix or master on headphones and want a clean, high-headroom amp rather than a warm hi-fi one. Pairs with the ZEN One Studio for a complete interface and monitor controller, or drops into an existing studio chain on its own.
