Fiio RR11 Portable Stereo Radio

Sale price$54.99

The Fiio RR11 squeezes a proper FM stereo radio and a wired headphone amplifier into an aluminum body the size of a lighter. Spin the analog tuning wheel, watch the needle sweep the dial and you get the whole nostalgic radio experience, backed by modern components and Hi Res certified output.

Type and Technology

Inside is a Silicon Labs Si4831 FM tuner with classic analog PVR tuning covering 64 to 108MHz, wide enough for broadcasts anywhere in the world including college stations. A custom Fiio DDB AS100 analog chip handles amplification along with switchable BASS and 3D sound effects. The RR11 also moonlights as a USB C headphone adapter and amp, so it can serve as a dongle for your phone or laptop when you are not chasing stations.

Sound Character

Tuned for warmth rather than clinical precision, the RR11 delivers an easy, analog flavored sound. The BASS effect adds satisfying low end weight to thin broadcasts, while the 3D effect widens the stage for a more immersive feel through earbuds.

Build and Features

The aluminum alloy shell is just 13mm thin and 46g light, in a footprint of 83.2 x 39.4 x 13mm. A 300mAh battery runs for about 8.5 hours of FM listening or 17.5 hours as an amplifier, recharging over USB C.

Best For

Ballgames, commutes, emergency kits and desk drawers everywhere. It comes bundled with the Fiio JF11 flat head earbuds, whose cable doubles as the FM antenna. See more retro friendly gear in our Fiio collection.
