The Fiio K9 AKM combines the flagship AKM AK4191EQ and AK4499EX DAC pairing with dual THX AAA 788+ amplifier modules in a full size desktop DAC and headphone amplifier. With 2000mW per channel of balanced power, a complete set of analog and digital inputs including Bluetooth 5.1 with LDAC, and XLR balanced line outputs, it anchors a serious headphone desk.

Type and Technology

The AK4191EQ digital modulator and AK4499EX current output DAC separate digital and analog conversion for very low noise, supported by a six stage fully balanced circuit and an internal linear transformer power supply with isolated digital and analog rails. Dual THX AAA 788+ modules provide clean, low distortion amplification, and the XMOS USB stage handles PCM to 768kHz/32-bit and native DSD512. Both USB-B and USB-C ports are provided.
