Fiio K7 BT Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier

The Fiio K7 BT adds high quality wireless to the most popular balanced desktop DAC and headphone amplifier in its class. It keeps everything that makes the standard K7 great, dual AKM AK4493SEQ DACs, dual THX AAA 788+ modules, and 2000mW per channel of balanced power, then adds Bluetooth 5.1 with LDAC and aptX Adaptive plus app control.

Type and Technology

The core is identical to the K7: one AK4493SEQ per channel into a fully balanced six stage circuit ending in dual THX AAA 788+ amplifier modules, with the XMOS USB controller supporting PCM to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256. A Qualcomm QCC5124 chip adds a fifth input for Bluetooth 5.1, received through an included external antenna for stable range, with codec support up to LDAC and aptX Adaptive.

Sound Character

Neutral with a touch of warmth and a wide, well separated stage, just like the standard K7, and impressively little is lost over LDAC. Wired or wireless, it drives IEMs through 300 ohm dynamics with clean, confident power.

Build and Features

Alongside the added Bluetooth input, the K7 BT gains FiiO Control app support for firmware updates, codec selection, and EQ, something the standard model does without. You still get 6.35mm and 4.4mm balanced headphone jacks, RCA line and preamp output modes, two gain levels, and the RGB sample rate bar.
