Fiio K11 R2R Desktop DAC and Headphone Amplifier

The Fiio K11 R2R puts a true discrete resistor ladder DAC on your desk for less than most chip based rivals. Its fully differential 24-bit R2R array uses 192 precision thin film resistors, paired with a balanced headphone stage delivering up to 1300mW per channel, selectable NOS and OS modes, and USB, optical, and coaxial inputs in the same compact chassis as the standard K11.

Type and Technology

Four channels of 48 thin film resistors each, at 0.1% tolerance with low temperature drift, form a genuine R2R ladder of the kind usually found in far pricier gear. NOS mode decodes at the native sample rate for classic R2R flavor, while OS mode upsamples everything to 384kHz for a cleaner, more focused presentation. USB accepts PCM to 384kHz/32-bit and DSD256.

Sound Character

Warmer, smoother, and more classically musical than delta sigma designs at the price, with natural texture and an easygoing flow that flatters long listening sessions. Switching between NOS and OS lets you trade a little romance for a little precision whenever you like.

Build and Features

The compact aluminum chassis uses a single multifunction knob, a crisp VA display, and an RGB logo light that indicates format at a glance.
