The Fiio JW1 is a budget friendly open fit true wireless earbud from FiiO's JadeAudio line. Instead of sealing your ear canal, the JW1 hovers at the ear entrance so you stay aware of traffic, coworkers and announcements while your music plays. It is the easiest way into wireless listening in our IEM collection.

Type and Technology

The JW1 is an open, non in-ear true wireless earbud with a large 14.2mm dynamic driver per side. Bluetooth 5.3 handles the connection with SBC and AAC codecs, automatic re-pairing when you slide the case open, and single or dual bud use.

Sound Character

As with any open design, bass is light because there is no seal, but the mids are lush, forward and coherent, and the out of head soundstage and imaging are genuinely class leading for the price. It is built for awareness and comfort rather than critical listening.

Build and Comfort

Each 9.5g bud hangs securely with an ear hook fit and uses touch controls for playback, calls and voice assistant. The buds run about 6 hours per charge, with the slide open 250mAh USB-C case extending total playtime to about 18 hours. The design is sweat and water resistant for workouts.
