Fiio JH13 Hybrid In-Ear Monitors

The FiiO JH13 is the newest member of the JadeAudio hybrid family, pairing a dual magnet 10mm dynamic driver with two composite balanced armatures behind a real zebrawood faceplate. At this price a triple driver setup with genuine wood trim is almost unreasonable, which is rather the point.

Type and Technology

The low end comes from an updated dual magnet 10mm dynamic driver wound with a 0.033mm CCAW voice coil sourced from Daikoku of Japan, giving it low moving mass and quick response. A pair of composite balanced armatures handles the treble through a tuned crossover, with response reaching from 10Hz to 40kHz.

Sound Character

Warm and punchy down low with smooth, natural vocals and an airy armature treble that adds detail without sharpness. At 24 ohms and a lively 110dB/mW, the JH13 reaches full volume from any phone, tablet or laptop.

Build and Comfort

Each faceplate uses real zebrawood under a clear gloss coat, so no two pairs share the same grain. The semi-transparent black shells weigh just 6.2 grams per earpiece and use QDC style 0.78mm 2-pin connectors for easy cable swaps.
