Fiio JD7 Dynamic In-Ear Monitors

The FiiO JD7 is the flagship of the JadeAudio single dynamic line: a 10mm dual magnet driver housed in mirror polished 316L stainless steel with a semi-open acoustic design. It aims for the things single dynamics do best, natural timbre and a spacious, relaxed presentation, and backs them up with serious build quality for the money.

Type and Technology

The 10mm dynamic driver uses both internal and external magnetic circuits, pushing magnetic flux beyond 1 Tesla for greater control and a healthy 108dB/mW sensitivity. A polymer diaphragm with a PU gasket balances speed and smoothness, while the dual layer housing places damping in each layer to suppress unwanted vibration and resonance for lower distortion.

Sound Character

The semi-open design lets the JD7 breathe: softer and more natural than typical sealed in-ears, with a wider soundstage and easy, non-fatiguing treble. Bass is full and well textured thanks to the high flux motor. At 32 ohms and 108dB/mW it runs beautifully straight from a phone, dongle or any player in our DAP collection.

Build and Comfort

Each shell is formed from 316L stainless steel with a mirror finish that resists corrosion and wear. The L-shaped MMCX connectors release cleanly for cable swaps, and the smooth rounded housings sit comfortably despite their premium heft. Available in black and silver.
