Type and Technology

This is an open-back over-ear planar magnetic headphone. The 1 micron ultra-thin PET diaphragm uses FiiO's patented dual coating, aluminum for conductivity and dynamic punch plus sapphire for rigidity and treble resolution. A patented uniform magnetic field design keeps the big diaphragm evenly driven across its whole surface. At 20 ohms and 95dB/mW, it reaches satisfying levels from phones, dongles, and portable players.

Sound Character

The FT1 Pro leans neutral and quick. Bass is tight and textured rather than boomy, mids are clean and honest, and the treble extends with the airy sparkle planar drivers are known for. The open back gives music room to breathe, with a wide stage and precise imaging that closed headphones struggle to match.

Build and Comfort

At about 375g it is light for a planar of this driver size, with breathable pads and open metal grilles. The cable detaches at dual 3.5mm connectors, and both 3.5mm and 4.4mm balanced cables come standard along with a storage bag.
