Type and Technology

The BR15 R2R is a desktop Bluetooth receiver and USB DAC built around a fully differential 24-bit R2R ladder using 192 high precision thin film resistors with 0.1 percent accuracy. Qualcomm's QCC5181 chip provides Bluetooth 6.0 with aptX Lossless, aptX Adaptive, aptX HD, aptX, LDAC, LC3, AAC and SBC, and selectable oversampling (OS) and non oversampling (NOS) modes let you choose how the ladder behaves.

Sound Character

R2R conversion gives the BR15 a natural, analogue like flow with dense timbre and relaxed treble, a clear contrast to typical delta sigma receivers. NOS mode sounds especially organic and vinyl adjacent, while OS mode tightens focus and detail. It is a musical, easy to live with source for speaker systems.

Build and Features

Inputs cover Bluetooth, USB, optical and coaxial; outputs include RCA and balanced XLR line outs plus optical and coaxial digital passthrough. A 10 band parametric EQ and Auto EQ profiles are available through the FiiO Control app, a remote control handles the essentials from the couch, and a dual power design lets you run the built in AC supply or feed it clean external 5V DC from a linear power supply.
