Fern&Roby Isolation Record Weight

The Fern and Roby Isolation Record Weight takes the concept of the brass record weight further: a 700g solid brass weight with an internal isolation layer of visco-elastic polymer that allows the outer body to float separated from the base, so the mass of the weight absorbs mechanical energy from the spindle and vinyl without transmitting it back into the record. Machined and assembled in Richmond, Virginia.

Build and Materials

Solid brass outer body, patinaed and sealed. High-quality visco-elastic polymer isolation material (the same engineering-grade compound used in hospitals, precision manufacturing, and industrial isolation applications) separates the outer brass shell from the base, allowing the weight to absorb vibration energy rather than simply transmitting mass pressure. 700g total weight. Dimensions: 2.5" O.D. x 1.5" H (63.5 x 38.1mm). CNC machined at Fern and Roby's Richmond, Virginia facility.
