EMM Labs NS1 Streamer

The EMM Labs NS1 is a dedicated network streaming endpoint designed to bridge the internet, your local network storage, and EMM Labs DACs, bringing Roon Ready certification, Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, UPnP/DLNA, and MQA playback to any EMM Labs component with digital inputs, all in a compact chassis built to EMM Labs' manufacturing standards. The NS1's proprietary EMM Optilink output provides galvanic isolation between the streamer and any EMM Labs DAC for the cleanest possible digital connection. Designed and manufactured in Canada.

Compact network music streamer and digital transport. Roon Ready and Roon Endpoint certified. Proprietary EMM Optilink output, a galvanically isolated digital interface for hardware-level noise isolation between the NS1 and EMM DACs including the DA2i and DV2i. AES/EBU and TOSLINK SPDIF digital outputs for compatibility with any external DAC. Up to 24-bit/192kHz and DSD over all outputs. Streaming services: Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Deezer, vTuner, and more. UPnP/DLNA renderer for network-attached storage and NAS playback. USB Type-A ports for USB storage playback. File format support: AAC, AIFF, ALAC, FLAC, MP3, WAV, WMA, DSD (DFF, DSF), MQA. Gigabit Ethernet input. WiFi via USB dongle (included or optional). Controlled via mConnect app (Android and iOS) and mConnect HD for tablets. RS232 for wired system integration. EMM DACs can display media and track information via RS232 connection. Precision machined chassis and custom power system. Power factor corrected universal 100-240V supply, 10W maximum consumption. Sound Character

The NS1's primary contribution to sound quality is the EMM Optilink connection, galvanic isolation between the streaming source and the DAC eliminates the ground-loop noise and common-mode interference that standard SPDIF connections allow to enter the DAC. Connected to an EMM Labs DA2i or DV2i via Optilink, the NS1 represents the cleanest possible streaming input path for those converters.
