The Chord Electronics Ultima 2 is the reference flagship mono power amplifier, a 750W monoblock that replaced the SPM 6000 MK II as the most powerful and technically accomplished amplifier in Chord's Reference range, built around the ULTIMA dual feed-forward error-correction topology with the same DNA as the flagship Ultima power amplifier. 750W into 8 ohms, 1,305W into 4 ohms, the Ultima 2 can drive virtually any loudspeaker load on earth with complete authority. The ULTIMA topology brings the same precision and speed to this output power level, resulting in a presentation that combines enormous headroom with the imaging accuracy and tonal precision of Chord's finest amplification. An SNR better than -89dB ensures the noise floor is inaudible even in high-efficiency systems.

Build and Finish

Full-width 28mm aircraft-grade aluminium fascia with dimmable feature lighting and Integra Leg system. Larger depth than the Ultima 3 and 5 at 670mm to accommodate the greater power supply demands. Available in Argent Silver or Jett Black. Made in the UK.
