The Chord Electronics Etude is a 150W Class AB stereo power amplifier built around the first fundamentally new amplifier topology Chord has developed since 1989, multi-feedback and dual feed-forward error-correction technology drawn from aerospace engineering, applied to a high-current MOSFET output stage that delivers effortless dynamics and exceptional speaker control.

Stereo power amplifier, Class AB solid-state. Proprietary multi-feedback and dual feed-forward error-correction topology using 250W lateral structure high-power MOSFETs. Three independent switch-mode power supply units (one per active power rail, one auxiliary). Active-cooled plenum chamber design. Advanced internal shielding. Bridgeable to mono for 300W into 4 ohms. Balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs. Available in Silver or Black. Made in the UK.

Sound Character

Remarkably fast, controlled, and dynamically alive. Chord's feed-forward error-correction topology eliminates distortion at the output stage in real time, resulting in a presentation of transient accuracy and low-level detail that few conventional amplifier designs can match. Bass is tight and authoritative, midrange is neutral and transparent, and treble is extended without any hardness. Pairs naturally with the Chord DAVE as a complete amplification system.
