Cardas Clear Cygnus Power

The Cardas Clear Cygnus Power is a scaled-down version of Clear Beyond Power, three well-shielded conductors and passive noise filtering at a price point well below the flagship. Designed for source equipment and small-to-medium amplifiers, with the current-handling capacity to drive even larger tube amplifiers. Pairs naturally with the rest of the Cygnus lineup. Hand-terminated in Bandon, Oregon.

Type and Technology

Power cable, 3 x 13 AWG conductors. Grade 1, 99.9999% pure oxygen-free tin-plated copper, gauge sizes scaled to Golden Ratio proportions. Cross-field layer geometry insulated in PTFE jacket. Twisted triad mixed with PVC air-tubes bound with FEP tape wrap. Double-shielded with tin-plated copper and magnet wire. Flexible TPR outer jacket.

Sound Character

Inherits the Clear-family neutral tonal balance and passive noise filtering in a more accessible configuration. Brings many of the benefits of the higher-capacity siblings to systems where flagship-tier conductor mass is overkill.

Build and Connectivity

Standard terminations: Cardas power plugs with silver/rhodium-plated solid copper contacts, soldered and crimped. Hand-terminated in Bandon, Oregon.

Best For

Source components, small-to-medium amplifiers, and tube amplifiers that don't need the conductor mass of Clear Beyond. Pairs naturally as part of a full Cygnus-tier system build.
