Campfire Audio Reference 8 Cable

The Reference 8 is an eight-conductor IEM cable combining four high-purity silver-plated copper (SXC) conductors with four OCC copper conductors, terminated for Lightning and finished with color-marked right and left connectors. Designed in Portland, Oregon by ALO Audio.

Type and Technology

Single-termination IEM cable. Eight conductors total (four silver-plated copper (SXC) and four OCC copper) each in FEP jackets. MMCX connectors at the earphone side. Lightning termination at the source side. Right and left terminations color-marked (red and blue) for fast orientation.

Sound Character

The mixed SXC and OCC copper geometry delivers a full-bodied musical presentation with strong fine-detail retrieval. Tonality leans neutral with a touch of low-frequency body; the ALO Audio house signature that defined this cable's reception with earlier Campfire IEMs.

Build and Connectivity

Eight individually FEP-jacketed conductors. Color-marked MMCX captures (red right, blue left). Lightning termination for use with Apple devices that retain Lightning ports and Lightning-to-USB camera adapters.

iOS users running an MMCX IEM directly from a Lightning device, including legacy iPad and iPhone setups, who want a higher-resolution cable than a basic Lightning-to-3.5mm dongle pairing allows.
