Campfire Audio Chimera

Chimera is Campfire Audio's nine-driver quad-brid flagship in-ear monitor, combining a 10mm bone conduction driver, a 10mm True Glass dynamic driver developed with Glass Acoustic Innovations, a dual-diaphragm balanced armature for mids, two BAs for highs, and four electrostatic supertweeters. Housed in a PVD magnesium shell with a hand-finished carbon-fiber and brass Damascus lid that is unique to each pair. Hand-built in Portland, Oregon.

Type and Technology

Universal-fit quad-brid IEM with four driver technologies per side: one 10mm bone conduction driver embedded in the magnesium shell pocket, one 10mm True Glass dynamic driver with an alkali-glass diaphragm, one dual-diaphragm balanced armature for mids, two BAs for highs, and four electrostatic supertweeters. Targeted rear pressure valve, hybrid vintage ceramic-film capacitor, and Master Track final-stage tuning damper at the nozzle. Standard 0.78mm 2-pin cable interface. Included ALO Audio Valence-6 cable with modular 3.5mm, 4.4mm, and USB-C DAC terminations.

Sound Character

The bone-conduction and True Glass dynamics deliver tactile, extended, textured low frequencies that remain fast and articulate. Three BAs handle midrange with strong vocal presence; four electrostatic supertweeters extend the top end with speed and air. The overall presentation is large-scale and physically immersive without losing tonal balance.

Build and Comfort

CNC electro-plated PVD magnesium housing — chosen for the resonant properties that reinforce bone-conduction physicality. Carbon-fiber and brass Damascus lid hand-finished in-house, so each pair is visually unique. Machined brass nozzle. Vented housing. Available in Black or Gold.
