The Auribus Acoustics Sierra Aluminum is a special edition of the Sierra open-back dynamic headphone, celebrating the fifth anniversary of the original Auribus project. It features a premium solid aluminum cup machined with advanced Metal 3D Printing and polishing processes for a unique finish unlike any other headphone, combined with a polished headband and a warmer, more enveloping tuning than the original. Hand-built in Southern California.

Open-back dynamic headphone. Same driver and Linear Extension system as the Sierra, now retuned for a warmer, more enveloping character. Solid aluminum cup produced via advanced Metal 3D Printing followed by a polishing process that creates a surface finish unique to this manufacturing approach. Polished headband for smoother sliding action and refined ergonomics. Detachable dual 3.5mm cable.

Sound Character

Warmer and more enveloping than the original Sierra. The Aluminum edition was tuned with a fuller tonal character that adds body and richness without losing the open-back stage and the Linear Extension system's bass impact. For listeners who found the original Sierra tonally neutral and want more warmth and presence.

Build and Finish

The Metal 3D Printed and polished aluminum cup creates a surface unlike conventional machined aluminum. The printing process and subsequent polishing produce a distinctive finish that varies across the surface. Minimal weight is maintained despite the metal construction through the precision of the 3D printing process. A limited anniversary production run, hand-assembled in Southern California.
