Aurender N50

The Aurender N50 is a flagship digital-output network music server, a statement transport for reference-level digital systems. It sits above the N30SA in Aurender's digital-output lineup, representing the company's most uncompromising expression of what a streaming transport can achieve, and is designed to feed an outboard DAC rather than provide its own analog output.

Type and Technology

Caching network transport built on a triple machined-aluminum chassis, powered by an Intel quad-core CPU with 8GB of RAM. All playback is cached to solid-state memory, and every digital output is disciplined by an OCXO clock under FPGA control for ultra-low jitter. An external master clock input is provided for systems that use a separate reference clock.

Sound Character

As a dedicated transport, the N50's contribution is in timing precision and noise isolation: the OCXO-controlled outputs and memory-based playback are engineered to present the connected DAC with the cleanest, lowest-jitter digital signal, for a settled and resolving result that reflects the quality of the downstream DAC.

Build and Connectivity

Triple machined-aluminum chassis with an 8.8-inch wide IPS color display, controlled by the Aurender Conductor app. Digital outputs include dedicated USB audio, dual AES/EBU, BNC coaxial SPDIF, RCA coaxial SPDIF, and optical/Toslink SPDIF (all OCXO controlled), plus an I2S module slot for MSB Pro ISL or HDMI I2S. Two user-installable 2.5-inch bays and a 480GB NVMe system SSD handle storage and caching, and a master clock input accepts a 75-ohm BNC reference at 10MHz, 12.8MHz, or word-clock rates.
