Aurender A200

The Aurender A200 is an analog-output network music server that combines Aurender's built-in DAC technology with streaming, caching, and local storage in a single chassis. It sits between the A1000 and A15 in Aurender's analog-output lineup, offering a complete source component with preamp capability for listeners who want to connect directly to a power amplifier or integrated amp.

Type and Technology

Caching music server with a single-stereo AKM4490 DAC and MQA full decoder, decoding PCM up to 32-bit/768kHz and DSD up to DSD512. A TCXO word clock and an FPGA-based clock generator target very low jitter, while a fully linear power supply with discrete toroidal transformers isolates the server, digital output, and DAC sections. All playback is cached to solid-state memory.

Sound Character

The AKM4490 DAC is voiced for a clean, natural presentation. DAC-level lossless volume control allows the A200 to feed a power amplifier directly with a short signal path, favoring transparency and low noise.

Build and Connectivity

Machined aluminum chassis with a 6.9-inch color display. High-quality single-ended RCA outputs with DAC-level volume control, a dedicated USB audio output, and coaxial and optical digital inputs for external sources. Two bays accept user-installable storage of up to 8TB each (up to 16TB total), two isolated gigabit Ethernet ports are provided, and a super-capacitor UPS guards against power interruptions.
