Aune S10N
The Aune S10N is a mastertape-grade network music player built around a distributed multi-core architecture, engineered to focus purely on sound quality across streaming, local, and Bluetooth playback. It combines app-controlled streaming with true hardware decoding, giving you a single source that handles wireless services, network storage, and high-resolution local files with equal ease.
Type and Technology
The S10N is a distributed 5-core streaming music player. It pairs a MediaTek streaming core with an NXP Cortex-M7 (Freescale) underlying hardware decoding core, a Qualcomm QCC5125 Bluetooth core, an Aune PLL clock core, and an FPGA asynchronous generation core. The hardware decoding frame is similar to a classic CD player, dedicating the whole processor to sound reproduction and supporting up to 32bit/768k PCM and DSD512. Streaming works through a dedicated control app with support for AirPlay, Tidal, Qobuz, DLNA, and NAS. Bluetooth supports HD codecs including LDAC and aptX HD. The PLL clock core accepts an external clock input, and the FPGA regenerates ultra-low-jitter digital signals for precise output.
Sound Character
The S10N is tuned by referencing real instrument sounds and music pieces, giving it a signature that is natural, musical, and full of detail. The combination of a custom ultra-low-jitter oscillator and the PLL core produces purer, more precise digital signals, while the digital plus linear dual-transformer power supply supports clean output on both digital and analog stages.
Build and Finish
The S10N uses a clean, minimalist chassis with a 4 inch display designed to reduce light pollution and radio-frequency interference, since most control can be handled from a smartphone. It carries two USB ports that each support external storage up to 2TB, plus two independent antennas so that Wi-Fi streaming and HD Bluetooth do not interfere with one another. Carefully selected HiFi components include C0G and film chip capacitors. It is available in Black and Silver.
Best For
The S10N suits listeners who want one flexible source for streaming services, NAS libraries, USB storage, and HD Bluetooth feeding active speakers or an amplifier. Pair it with a dedicated converter or headphone amplifier from our DACs collection to build a complete mastertape-grade system.
