Abyss Diana MRx

The Abyss Diana MRx is a ground-up redesign of one of Abyss's most beloved headphones, now built around complex CNC-machined aluminum frames and the new EBR (Extended Bass Response) driver technology first developed for the flagship Diana TC Signature. Lighter, more comfortable, and more powerful in the low end, the Diana MRx delivers a flat bass response down to 10 Hz, giving professionals and audiophiles a true reference window into the deepest layers of a recording.

Type & Technology

Over-ear, open-back, planar magnetic. The Diana MRx uses a next-generation 63 mm Abyss planar magnetic driver, made in-house in New York, with EBR (Extended Bass Response) technology that reaches a -3 dB point at 10 Hz. A Fibonacci side-hole pattern tunes airflow and acoustics for the new driver, while the ultra-slim aircraft-grade aluminum frame carries a high-tech polymer-ceramic finish with a choice of forged carbon or exotic wood inlays.

Sound Character

Effortless, clear, and coherent. The Diana MRx pulls subtle detail from deep within a recording without fatigue, glare, or sibilance, paired with reference-flat bass you feel as much as hear. The midrange is natural and transparent, the treble extended and clean, and the open-back design opens up a spacious, layered soundstage with real depth.

Build & Comfort

Made in the USA and assembled by hand. A premium leather headband with an Ultrasuede suspension strap and pillow-top lambskin ear pads provides all-day comfort with minimal clamp force. Magnetic size adjustments use zero wear parts, and the flexible, twistable headband contours to any head shape, even over glasses. The hybrid lambskin pillow-top pads are magnetic and required for maximum low-frequency response, detail retrieval, and soundstage size. Optional Ultrasuede and bass-ported pads are available separately to tailor the sound to your taste.
