Kuzma Stogi Reference 313 Tonearm

Sale price$6,295.00

Arm Wire: Cardas Copper Wire
Termination: Standard

The Kuzma Stogi Reference 313 is a 12-inch version of the Stogi Reference with one additional distinction, a detachable headshell secured by a unique hexagonal locking system that provides the same rigidity as a fixed headshell while allowing cartridge changes without disturbing the arm's internal wiring. Ceramic ball bearings (since July 2012) replace the steel bearings of the standard Stogi Reference for further reduction in friction and noise. Made in Slovenia.

Type and Technology

Gimbal-bearing tonearm, 12-inch (313mm effective length). Ceramic ball bearings (since July 2012), lower friction and lower noise than steel ball bearings, with the same gyroscope-grade load rating and factory vacuum-sealing with individual serial numbers. Conical tube machined from solid aluminum, internally damped, and divided into two parts for worm-drive azimuth adjustment. The worm drive operates with an Allen key, rotating the tube in minimal increments with no air gap, submerged in silicone grease for damping. A marker line shows azimuth position for repeatable adjustments. Detachable headshell: the electrical connection uses standard cartridge pins, with the headshell removed by Allen key. The hexagonal locking system holds the headshell with equivalent rigidity to a bonded fixed headshell. Internal wiring: single uninterrupted run from cartridge clips to RCA connectors. XLR or 5-pin optional. Made in Slovenia.

Design Philosophy

A 12-inch arm reduces tracking error across the record compared to a 9-inch arm, lower offset angle, less lateral tracking distortion, and improved tracing through the inner grooves where distortion concentrates in shorter arms. The Stogi Reference 313 delivers all the refinements of the Stogi Reference in the longer 12-inch format, with the additional practicality of a detachable headshell for listeners who run multiple cartridges without wanting to rewire between them.

Build and Finish

All parts machined from solid aluminum and brass. Ceramic ball bearings since July 2012. Conical tube, worm-drive azimuth, hexagonal-lock detachable headshell. Standard wiring: copper, RCA (58pF). Optional XLR or 5-pin. Made in Slovenia.

Best For

Serious vinyl enthusiasts who want the tracking geometry advantages of a 12-inch arm combined with worm-drive azimuth precision, ceramic bearing refinement, and the convenience of a properly rigid detachable headshell.
