SW1X Amp V "Titan"

The SW1X Amp V "Titan" is a 300B directly heated triode integrated amplifier, a three-gain-stage single-ended Class A design with SW1X's in-house custom output transformers, a 24-step discrete stepped attenuator, and the same hybrid point-to-point hardwiring technique used across the SW1X range. Available in four output transformer quality levels, each with different core material and winding options to match a listener's system and budget. Made in the UK.

Type and Technology

Single-ended Class A DHT (directly heated triode) integrated amplifier, zero negative feedback. Three gain stages: 6N6P/5687/E182CC or 6SN7 input/driver tubes driving 2x 300B output tubes. 300B directly heated triodes need no introduction, they are the most celebrated output tubes in audio, combining the directness and tonal naturalness of single-ended operation with the warmth and harmonic richness that no push-pull design produces. Quasi mono directly heated double-diode valve-rectified B+ power supply. Fixed bias design. SW1X 24-step discrete stepped attenuator volume control. SW1X Magnum, Genesis, and Opus conductors throughout. Copper foil-in-oil signal decoupling capacitors. AB 2W non-magnetic carbon film resistors.
