Kuzma Stogi Reference Tonearm
The Kuzma Stogi Reference is a refined evolution of the Stogi gimbal-bearing arm, sharing the same bearing precision and solid-machined construction, but adding a conical aluminum tube with a built-in worm-drive azimuth adjustment mechanism that allows repeatable, incremental azimuth changes without affecting any other tonearm parameter. The most precise azimuth adjustment available on a 9-inch Kuzma arm. Made in Slovenia.
Type and Technology
Gimbal-bearing tonearm, 9-inch. The same precision ball-bearing architecture as the Stogi, four gyroscope-grade bearings, pre-loaded, glued, vacuum-sealed, and serialized, now combined with a conical tube and worm-drive azimuth mechanism. The conical tube is machined from a solid aluminum rod, internally damped, and divided into two parts to further aid damping and enable the azimuth adjustment mechanism. A worm drive operated by an Allen key rotates the tube in minimal increments with no air gap, submerged in silicone grease for additional damping. A marker line clearly shows azimuth position and ensures repeatability across adjustments. The vertical bearings have a highly damped brass housing, an additional refinement over the standard Stogi. All other geometry, bearing, wiring, and structural specifications remain the same as the Stogi. Internal wiring: single uninterrupted run from cartridge pins to RCA. XLR or 5-pin available. Made in Slovenia.
Design Philosophy
The conical tube and worm-drive azimuth mechanism are the Stogi Reference's defining refinements over the standard Stogi. Azimuth alignment is one of the most sonically significant cartridge setup parameters and also one of the most difficult to adjust precisely on most arms. The worm-drive mechanism eliminates guesswork and allows the user to make and repeat fine adjustments with Allen-key precision, a practical and meaningful engineering advantage for anyone serious about cartridge alignment.
Build and Finish
All parts machined from solid aluminum and brass. Conical tube, highly damped brass vertical bearing housing. Fixed headshell. Standard wiring: copper, RCA (58pF). Optional XLR or 5-pin. Made in Slovenia.
Best For
Vinyl enthusiasts who want the Stogi's gimbal-bearing precision with the added refinement of a worm-drive azimuth adjustment for repeatable, precise cartridge alignment without disturbing other setup parameters.
