The Ideon Audio eos DAC incorporates advanced technologies and research derived primarily from our extensive work on the IΩN DAC and our flagship Absolute Epsilon, which has set global benchmarks.
Many innovations and design elements from the IΩN DAC are thoughtfully adapted to the eos's scale.
Like all Ideon products, the eos DAC is a fully proprietary creation featuring in-house developed audio technologies. It is a custom-crafted device, combining cutting-edge design with premium, carefully selected components.

 

HyperStream, 8-channels architecture with proprietary, cutting-edge analog stage

The Symmetrical Analog Output Principle

The balanced output, designed internally, features symmetrical analog output channels without capacitors in the signal path and utilizes dedicated power supplies within a distinctive topology. This design approach is also implemented in the eos DAC.

Design for future upgrades

The eos DAC is engineered with foresight for future enhancements, consistent with Ideon's design philosophy. Its modular architecture enables straightforward upgrades of various components as new technologies emerge or new audio formats become prevalent.


Low noise power supply

The Eos features a sophisticated multistage power reservoir consisting of multiple low-noise power supplies and distinct regulation stages.

While many emphasize the need for stable, ample, and clean power in audio systems, Ideon Audio surpasses these standards by implementing numerous separate stages to ensure exceptional clarity and linearity. Only premium components are used, including high-performance regulators with minimal tolerance and ultra-low ESR audio-grade capacitors crafted specifically for audiophile applications.

 

Proprietary Triple Distillation USB input: Noise Elimination

Featured in many of our DACs and developed internally, the Ideon Audio Triple Distillation USB input incorporates a proprietary three-stage noise reduction circuit that effectively removes digital noise from the input signal. The expertise gained during the creation of the Absolute Epsilon DAC has been applied to the eos DAC as well. In essence, we have taken a rigorous approach to eliminate both linear and non-linear distortion and noise.

Clock Oscillators: Getting the Music in Phase

The eos DAC utilizes several of the oscillators found in our IΩN DAC, employing three premium femto ultra-low jitter and ultra-low phase noise clocks within a meticulously designed architecture. This guarantees precise timing and exceptional phase accuracy of the audio signal.

  • New audio USB codec  used in our USB input module. A proprietary design, being the most current, state-of-the-art technology. The result; amazing, practically zero jitter, extremely low noise, super-fast processing, and extraordinary, natural sound quality.
  • A customized USB Audio 2.0 audio class driver developed for Windows. It’s optimized for low latency and low CPU load. Buffer depths can be adjusted to optimize settings for any given computer. The driver implements a transparent (bit-perfect) playback.
