The Cardas Nautilus is pure passive power distribution: six outlets, point-to-point wiring with Cardas Ultra Pure copper, and zero current-limiting components in the signal path. Hand-assembled in Bandon, Oregon, it's the company's answer for anyone who wants their whole system fed from one serious piece of hardware.

Type and Technology

The hot & neutral lines are point-to-point wired with Cardas solid core 10 AWG Grade 1, 99.9999% pure oxygen-free copper, while a star-ground system uses 11.5 AWG multi-stranded Cardas Litz conductor tied to a 1 kg copper earth plate. Every outlet carries the same passive RFI/EMI filtering found on Cardas flagship power cables, with 3D-printed wire guides keeping each filter coil uniform. A 4 mm jack beside the IEC inlet accepts an external ground connection via a Cardas CAB banana.

Sound Character

With no transformers, relays, or current limiting in the path, the Nautilus delivers full current to all six outlets while the per-outlet filtering quiets RF grunge. The practical result is a lower noise floor and clean, unrestricted power for everything from source components to power amps.

Build and Connectivity

The case is extruded aluminum, anodized black, with copper-plated end pieces machined from billet brass — an antiresonant housing that echoes the original Cardas Golden 6A strip. Cardas's own 4181US outlets use rhodium/silver-plated contacts with excellent grip tension. Each unit is laser-engraved and hand-stamped with a serial number, and it's available in 15 A and 20 A IEC inlet versions.
