The complete power circuit and mains supply sit in their own shielded compartment in the underside of the case, separated from the audio signal by a 10 mm aluminium wall, with voltage-amplification and current-amplification stages on separate boards in separate sections to prevent interaction. A new hermetically sealed toroidal transformer is fully encased in a magnetic shield so its stray fields never reach the audio circuitry. Loudspeaker terminals are machined from solid brass and rhodium-plated on every surface. The glass front panel is dominated by dual power-output meters.
